Travel / Fit-first guide

Packing cubes that fit your bag and your trip.

Packing cubes are a way to group items. They do not create extra baggage allowance. Decide whether you want outfits together, separate clean and used clothing, or make it easier to move between places.

Standard cubesSimple grouping and easy accessCheck the full set dimensions. Mesh panels are not a waterproof barrier.
Compression cubesSuitable soft items where reduced bulk is usefulCompression reduces bulk, not weight. Overfilling can make closures difficult to use.

Measure the bag interior

Use the usable packing area, including curved corners and internal handles. Sketch a layout using the dimensions of individual cubes, not the size of the set's packaging.

Match the cube to the routine

For several short stops, grouping by outfit can reduce repacking. For one longer stay, grouping by type may be easier. A very large cube can be inconvenient if you must empty it to reach one item.

Separate weight from volume

If your bag is already close to its allowed weight, squeezing in more clothing may create a different problem. Check the current baggage conditions with your carrier before departure.

What to check in the listing

Look for individual dimensions, materials, washing instructions, zipper details and exactly which sizes are included. Do not assume every cube in a pictured set is the same size.
